student for the S back testing I would go to smarter balanced. Org and I would use practice and the training test however I would use this option first we go down to the equation response editor tool you can read this information here it says this tool is not a calculator it doesn't perform calculations for you it's designed to allow you to end what's your answer to a question and it will provide you with feedback so I'm going to go through this kind of quickly and so it gives you a directions first we will input a simple equation you can use your keyboard or on-screen keypad click on the answer box A3 plus the 5 equals 8th and I can see how well I did I did a good job yeah I can move on this is where I would take my students first because I would want them to go through this and would wow them to have the experience with actually not being on a practice test so it goes through the basic usage navigation deleting fractions mixed numbers and saw this is where I would go first and foremost and then after that after I've gotten through all of this go here and use my resources on the practice and training test make sure you understand the difference between the practice and the training test so the training test are designed to provide students and teachers with opportunities to quickly familiarize themselves with the software navigation tools and so obviously next would be my training test and last would be my practice test so if you go ahead and click here this is what well that's link will open up and you will be able to be a guest user and you only need to act your grade that's the only thing that you will be doing so I'm going to be a third grade student and at this point remember I said you want to take a training test not a practice test yet I'm not prepared for that so I'm going to go through and either choose the ELA or the math training test in a minute go ahead click that quickly because settings do come up but there is nothing you need to change you please just scroll down to the bottom and hit select it will ask if this is your test which actually mimics the actual s back test and scroll down to the bottom and say Yes start my test it will do a soundtrack which is exactly what happens on the S back test as well do that really quick yes we heard that and I love this because this is test instructions and the help guide at any time so I really go over this before I even began the test now just going to go have haircut you're going to notice the setup it looks exactly what the students have to deal with this is your opportunity to practice and train and like I said last I would do the the practice test once I've gotten to take my students through all these steps and allow them to play around as much as possible then I would go ahead and start the practice test what I have noticed whenever I says students on the iPad they like to zoom in zoom out they like to play around and whether there whatever the reason is there still going to do set the more opportunity we provide them with the ability to get familiar and play around with those features the hopefully the more likely they will want to do that on the real test day
