Homework Plan

Please check your child's homework planner each day!

In order to maintain daily communication with parents regarding their child's homework and to quickly address any questions or concerns, we have implemented the following plan:
  1. Each student has a homework planner with a weekly calendar where they write their assignments each day.
  2. Parents check their child's planner and homework assignments to ensure homework is completed.
  3. Parents sign at the bottom of the planner each night to show they have checked the planner and homework.
  4. The teacher checks that the homework was brought back to school the next day.
  5. The teacher signs the planner by the parent's signature if the student brought their homework and their parent signed the planner.
  6. If any homework assignment or a signature is missing, the teacher writes a big "X" instead of signing.  This lets the parent know that their child is missing something.
  7. If an assignment wasn't done, it is circled with ND.
  8. If an assignment wasn't finished, it is circled with NF.
  9. If the assignment wasn't written down, the subject area is circled and the student is directed to write down the assignment in the circle.  This allows the parent to know what assignment is missing, and that the student failed to write it down the previous day.
  10. Questions or comments can also be written by either the parent or teacher at the bottom of the page to allow a quick way for parents and the teachers to communicate easily.
Homework is usually given out as follows:

Monday: Mrs. Flores - geography or grammar, Mr. Seymour - math
Tuesday: Ms. Duplessis - science and/or writing, Mr. Seymour -math
